Holiday mode: how it works

Holiday Mode allows you to put your listings on hold for a set timeframe. Your listings will still be visible, but buyers will not be able to purchase them or make offers during this time.

As a seller, you can use Holiday Mode when: 

  • You're travelling or temporarily unable to ship items. 
  • You simply need a quick break from selling.

Important things to know

  • You can set a return date of your choice. 
  • Your items will still appear in search, including any listings you have promoted.
  • Members can still save your listings to their favourites.
  • A banner will be visible to let buyers know that you've set your account to Holiday Mode. 
  • You’ll continue to have access to your account as usual.
  • You can make edits to current listings, list new items or save to drafts as usual.
  • We highly recommend that you continue to respond to questions from potential buyers during this time to increase your chance of a quick sale when you're back. 

Activating Holiday Mode

  1. Select Settings > Holiday Mode
  2. Toggle to Activate and enter your return date (or toggle to deactivate when you're ready)
  3. We'll notify anyone who has favourited your listings when you turn Holiday Mode on or off
