Card Payment Fee

Accepting debit or credit card payments is great for sellers because it means items are much faster to sell when payment is as easy as possible. However, banks and other financial institutions charge Designer Wardrobe for these types of transactions (e.g. when a Visa or Mastercard is used as a form of payment). 

While no one likes fees (neither do we!), Designer Wardrobe needs to recover this cost and the additional related costs (development, disputes etc.) we incur when accepting credit cards as payment.

• When Buyers purchase your item via a debit or credit card, a small card payment fee of just 3% + 49c will be deducted from your earnings (min charge 50c).
• No card payment fee is applied for Sellers when purchases are made via Laybuy.
• Buyers are not charged for using Credit Cards when purchasing.
