How Shipping is displayed

To make things simple for potential Buyers, Shipping will always be included as part of the Total listing value, rather than separately. As a Seller, nothing changes for you - just the way that it is displayed to members browsing your listing.

Why do we do this? We like to keep things simple for everyone. By displaying the total price to members while they browse, there are no hidden surprises when they go to purchase or rent your item, meaning they’re more likely to complete the purchase

DW Shipping Kits

If you select to use our DW Shipping Kits - the cost of the Shipping Kit is added to the listing total, and is provided at no cost to you. Designer Wardrobe picks up part of the cost of this service, with the rest being paid for by the Buyer/Borrower as part of the total purchase price.

For example, if you listed an item for $50 and selected our Medium Shipping Kit - the Buyer would pay a total of $60, but you would still receive $50 less DW Fees.

DIY Shipping

If you select to Arrange your own Shipping, the price you enter for Shipping will be added to the Total listing value.

For example, if you listed an item for $50 with a $5 Shipping amount, it will now show as $55 with “Shipping Included”, instead of $50 + $5 Shipping. Don't worry, when you send items yourself you will still retain 100% of the Shipping cost (excluding pick-ups).

In this scenario, you would receive $50 (less DW Fees) + $5 to cover Delivery.

Pickups

There are administration fees that come with facilitating Pickups on a marketplace while keeping the platform safe for Buyers and Sellers. Designer Wardrobe picks up part of the cost of this service, with the rest being paid for by the Buyer via the Shipping charge, as part of the total purchase price.
